tab software for recorded music?

Is there software available that will generate somewhat accurate tab or sheet music from recordings? I would like to find software that would allow me to import a normal CD type (.wav or .mp3) file and be able to generate the bass line with reasonable accuracy. It seems that if I can pick out the bass notes while listening to a song, a computer should be able to do that too, only faster.
I have limited time to practice and learn new songs and my wife has even more limited patience with me playing sections of songs over and over to learn the bass line.
Most of the songs I am interested in are the live versions rather than the studio versions that the tabs seem to be more readily available for, which is why I have put off buying a bass "trainer".

I have found the Digital Music Mentor software somewhat useful in the past.

DMM comes from Sienzo (http://www.sienzo.com/) and it is a piece of software that helps you get the guitar chords and bass tabs for supposedly any pop, rock, blues or country song.

Basically all you do is load the program then pick a song from a CD or mp3 file and then click Analyze.

It's pretty simple to use and I found pretty good at figuring out chords, but the Key it thinks the song is in doesn't seem to be displayed right for the majority of the songs that I have used it on and the bass tab leaves a lot to be desired.
I have found it useful if I can't find or having trouble with working out and finding the chord structure of a song, but for anything else such as working out a bass line, it is by no means perfect.

I tried the demo for the music mentor for bass tabs, and it was WAY off. I figured I would try a few songs that I already know to test it and it was not even close. Waste of money, if you ask me. But, that's just my opinion.

Screw the computer, transcribe by ear buddy. No software can do what you are asking.
Best way to learn bass.

This WAS a great product. But it went out of business. They tried several marketing models and all failed. I have tried to contact the original owner of the company.

In my opinion, all he needed to do was take the output that he was already pulling and find a way to feed Guitar Pro and he would of made a fortune. The tool it self is nice, but at about 75% acuracy, it would of been nice to clean it up in guitar pro.

If anyone has a way to get this software again, let me know. It was the only one that worked as far as I know.
