Tabs are generally created in simple ASCII format which works great for ASCII editors like Notebook. However, in order to post Tabs properly on the Boards a bit of formatting is required. Post using New Courier Font or Code format and everything will line up. Use 'Size=1' to make longer Tab fit. Courier Font kearning, etc... matches up with ASCII. Use it if your transferring Notebook created Tab to MSWord. Examples: Plain cut and Paste ASCII looks like this -- Kearning Shifts with Characters and Open Spacing (Notice the :Colons). This example uses Font Size 1 |-7-5-4------------------------------------------| |--------7-5-4-----------------------------------| |--------------7-5-4-------------2-/7\--------0--| |---------------------7-3\-0-/3----------3-------| : : : pull off.................: : : : : hammer on...................: : : slide up then down.................: In Courier Font ACSII tab looks like this -- Proper Character Kearning but Kearning Shifts with Open Spacing. This is usually the Standard way to Post tab because most tab do not contain Open Spacing. |-7-5-4------------------------------------------| |--------7-5-4-----------------------------------| |--------------7-5-4-------------2-/7\--------0--| |---------------------7-3\-0-/3----------3-------| : : : pull off.................: : : : : hammer on...................: : : slide up then down.................: Using CODE tags also align ASCII and other stuff. This time Proper Character & Open Space Kearning. Code: |-7-5-4------------------------------------------| |--------7-5-4-----------------------------------| |--------------7-5-4-------------2-/7\--------0--| |---------------------7-3\-0-/3----------3-------| : : : pull off.................: : : : : hammer on...................: : : slide up then down.................: Notice how Open Spaced :Colons are now properly justified and kearned.
