Double Bass Tailpiece Enhancement

Hey guys, the wire holding my tailpiece broke about a week ago, and I took it to David Gage. Rather than replacing it with a new wire, they replaced it with a material similar to a bungie cord. My tailpiece is now really flexible and my bass sounds so much better, just thought I'd share.

Everyone at the Gage shop is really nice, and they do awesome repairs, I wrote a review on an overhaul David did on my bass. That material lasts a long time, I've seen it on a lot of things, they probibly don't use wire because of how it can get bent and mishapen. A more flexible material can take a few bumps, and it rests right in the saddle grooves.
