Tapping and being heared

Not sure this is the right forum but.....

Just a question for the tappers: what do you use to be heared when playing in a band. Just your technique or do you boost the signal with an EQ-pedal or a compressor?
I have problems being heared when tapping, so I want to know how you guys handle this...

i think its mostly technique, i had the same problem, but i just learned to tap harder. but a volume boost wouldn't hurt either. an eq might help too. but work on technique as well!

Technique is the key. I tap on a couple of songs, and have no problem being heard. I play in a band with a pretty loud guitarist who uses distortion.
