Tascam Model 16 question - not getting USB output from computer, WIN10

This is probably of my own doing. I watched a YouTube on adding physical channels (creating an aggregate audio device). The video below is for Apple/Mac OS, I found a similar one for Windows using the ASIO4ALL driver. Basically I installed ASIO4ALL and got sidetracked on other tasks for an upcoming gig, when I got back in the studio to do some recording found my Model 16 could only get audio from the Windows Realtek 1/8" output to channel 13/14 (Tape In).

To complicate matters, Tascam released new Audio driver software (with input/output meters) with a firmware update for the mixer. Thinking that the ASIO4ALL driver may have overwritten the Tascam driver, I installed the update hoping that would correct the issue - No Joy. Good news is that the update seemed to install correctly. Just can't seem to get this sorted out... anyone familiar with the Tascam Model would appreciate any input to resolve this... Next step is reaching out to Tascam Support

Cheers...

Resolved...

Removed the ASIO4ALL driver, might not have been necessary but it's not something that I really needed at this time.

The Model 16 series is a little quirky in that it uses channels 1 and 2 to receive PC stereo output via USB. The key to my T-shooting was getting the FS mismatch error. Might have happened when I installed the ASIO4ALL driver. Somehow my sample rate changed to 44.1K from 48K, once that was restored across the board everything started working again. The hybrid analog-digital setup is cool until it stops working...

The joy of technology, always something...

Cheers

FYI: When I need additional channels, most likely for custom headphone mixes I will look at the VB-Audio Matrix, thanks EvilJ. Won't be for a while, next upgrade is making the jump to WIN11 in the studio, will be a new PC. Will probably make the jump from Cakewalk to the Sonar product. They have a limited deal going on now to get the full product for $49 annual fee. Might be worth it at that price.
