TASCAM vs Zoom

I haven't used any of the recorder/mixer units but i have have a zoom UA-8 in use right now. It sounds good and has had nonissues at all as a recording interface running with both windows anf linux systems.
I always found the combo units to be a bit more limiting in their capabilities than a separate mixer and interface setup.

I'm currently using a DigiDesign MBox 2 between my amp and Soundforge on the computer. Works fine for recording just myself. I'm wanting something that I can basically plug an entire band into during practice and get each part recorded to it's own track so I can mix and edit later on the computer which is why I'm looking at the units in my post.
