TB Software Update

I just thought a public shout-out to the success of the forum software updates in order. Despite a few relatively minor and short lived glitches, the migration to the new software was remarkably seamless... at least to those of us who didn't have to deal with it behind the curtain. Paul's team did a fabulous job, at least in my opinion.

Agreed! Some growing and adoption pains were almost inevitable, but we have all done it before...Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 10....etc. Personally, I enjoy updates and refreshes. The old format looked very dated and so far I have zero issues with the new update. Well done!!!

For short time I couldn't get to TalkBass. It felt like part of me died. I couldn't eat, couldn't sleep, I believe I suffered some hair loss. For the small window in time, I believe I now know what it feels like to work in a coal mine in the 1800's. Thankfully later that day I returned and I've survived the ordeal. Thanks!

I'll echo this - I'm also noticing more new and improved features every week that have really brought the forum to the 21st century.

I completely agree. I spent the last ten years of my career in the IT business and went through countless software upgrades. The TB upgrade hiccups were minor and were quickly rectified. Kudos to Paul and his fantastic team!

Here, here! I agree! I realize there's still some issues, but all in all it was pretty seamless.

Hats off to all at TB for the move to this new version. Very few bumps in the road for me, but it was heartbreaking to hear the sackcloth and ashes crowd wail to high heaven at their sudden inconvenience and emotional discomfiture. Did we get a final total on how much cheese it took for that much whine?
