I think BigJilm was quoting the Golden Ratio, which can be written as φ.

To get these funky symbols, use the Greek language keyboard setting in your OS, then change the font to something nice. Π looks boring, but in "system" font, it is π

OK, here's how to remember PI to however many places. Or at least so we were taught many years ago anyway. Ah, those were the days my friend! I thought they'd never end! I think it was just a couple years after said number was found. Which was some number of years after it was mislaid. Anyways, just use the number of letters in each of the words in this phrase. Beware of spelling eerors though! :)

How I wish I could remember, of circles round, the exact relation Archimedes found.
