TC Electronic BH 500 speaker connection question

Hi folks, i just ordered a BH 500 head to pair up with my eden 210 XLT cab.

I was reading the BH 500 manual, and i found this:

A short circuit would typically occur in the situation where:
- you use a non-TC cabinet with a jack connection
- connect using a Speakon to jack cable

My eden cab has only jack conncetion, and i have a speakon-to-jack cable that i plan to use to connect it with the tc electronic head; i don't understand why this could lead to a short circuit...

Can someone enlight me? Are TC Electronic amplifiers designed to work only with speakon-connected cabinet?

Can I use a Speakon to 1/4 " cable to connect my TC amp to a non TC-Cab that has no speakon plug? The manuals mention a risk of short-circuit. What are the precautions?

ANSWER
When you connect the jack to the speaker, a short-circuit can occur if you are playing and connecting at the same time. So the only rule you need to know, is:
Connect the jack to the speaker BEFORE you turn the power.
