TC Electronic BQ500

Amazing amp, been my main touring amp since it's release. Filled very big rooms (running direct) and can fill small/medium size rooms with the right cab. I usually run it through an Ampeg 210 playing open air festivals, theatres, etc.
Mine has some of the "problems" others have mentioned (active/passive switch, peak LED), but doesn't bother me one bit. Plenty of power, musical EQ, and more than does the job in any size room for me.

FWIW, I have the TC BH800 as well, which is more than double the price...and the BQ is now my main head.

Thank you so much!! I watched a demo video and thought it sounded amazing (from what I could hear from just a video). I went ahead and ordered it a few minutes ago with the 4 payment plan option on American Musical Supply. No credit check which was sweet. Anyway, thanks for your info!

In my opinion TC amps sound very tubby. If you made it work for you, great but it's not a great sounding amp. But just appears to have a lot of power which we already know by TC standards is wrong.

Just received mine two weeks ago for $198.00 and no complaints yet. The THRUSH is about useless and only has one speaker out. I was looking for a backup and head for a second rig. Also wanted something for headphones with mute. Has lots of power, small and cheaper than most of my pedals.

Correction it should say “THRUST”
