So, I just acquired the Grand Magus by tc electronic (the original version, not the pro) since it was on sale for like 25 bucks. I reckon that this is a pedal quite a few people here has/have had at some point.
I did a quick search on Google and I found at least 2 threads regarding this, but most of the answers were like "well, it's a distortion, it has a noise floor". I have like 20 OD/Distortion/Fuzz pedals and some carry a slight hum that barely bothers me, this Grand Magus is hissing like a rattlesnake in heat!
The tone of the pedal is quite nice however, but the hissing makes it more or less unplayable. Has anyone else had this problem with this pedal?
I'm torn between just keeping it in case it's something that all of these pedals have, or send it back for a new one.
