TC Electronics Impedance chart

I believe the cabs show an impedance curve that is within the range of a typical 8ohm cab (I believe the Bass Gear interpretation of their analysis was not accurate,based on postings in other threads).

I'm only familiar with the RS210, but it behaves like any other 8ohm 210, and is in about the middle range of efficiency of other 8ohm 210's I've owned and played.

Can't comment on the 12's, but if you like it warm, punchy, smooth and loud, and are looking for a vertical 210 that is at the lower end of the cost continuum, it is a GREAT cab.

The coax tweeter sounds just beautiful... sweet, smooth, organic.

Highly recommended. The only negative I found was the less than robust finish, but it is no more fragile than the Bergantino AE finish, which also requires a padded cover if you want to keep them looking new.
 
That equates to a nominal 10 ohm impedance. While there's no such thing as a set impedance figure, due to its being different at every frequency, the AES/IEC standard sets the minimum impedance as 0.7 times the nominal impedance. Therefore an 8 ohm cab will generally have a minimum impedance of 5.6 ohms. In most cases the minimum impedance closely corresponds to the voice coil DCR, which is what you read if you use a VOM to measure the cab.

Ya, I'd seen the "DCR / .7" measurement a lot and most any 8ohm anything I've put a meter on reads 5 point something.

10ohm cabs? I guess they are. Imagine what that's going to do to all the "ohmage" questions here.

I know that if I had made an amp that couldn't actually handle a 2.7 ohm load and wanted to be able to use three speakers with it I'd get my driver supplier to make up my OEM drivers with 10 ohm coils. Then I'd tell my customers that it was OK to use three of my '8 ohm' cabs but not anyone else's. That's a win-win, because if anyone did use three real 8 ohm cabs and had a problem I could say "I told you not to do that", and I could use sales of the amp to promote sales of my 10 ohm...sorry, '8 ohm'...cabs. I mean, if you can claim that a watt isn't a watt then what's to stop you from saying an ohm isn't an ohm?

That sounds like it'd be more work than just doing it the right way.
