Usually I play through a small amp, put on an amp stand, at quiet volumes. I did some apartment re-arranging, and as a pre-emptive strike against complaints by the neighbors
I've started using headphones more for practicing, especially in the evenings after 9-10PM. (My Man Cave is directly above their kids' bedroom.)
I happen to have a TC Electronic Spectradrive, which has both an Aux In (connected to an iPad) and a headphone jack. The aux signal sounds good, but the bass sounds dead. I need to turn the tone all the way up, and boost the treble on the EQ, to hear what I'm playing.
Anyone notice this with other DIs, or am I missing something obvious?
