TC Wiretap

I am annoyed and frustrated. I purchased a TC Electronics wiretap a few months ago. The only reason was to be able to transfer riffs to my phone to easily collaborate with some fellow players. Unfortunately the app sucks and crashes every time I try to transfer a riff to my phone. I have tried several Android and Apple phones with no luck. Has anyone here found a way to make it work? TC has been no help and the whole experience has soured me on their products.

Are there any other recorders or loopers that have blutooth file transfer capabilities?

I had a similar experience, never really resolved it --- I got the Wiretap for very cheap so it hasn't been worth my time investment. Subbed to this thread out of interest.

As I had hoped the pedal acts as a standatd USB storage device. Connecting it to my phone via the cable allows for quick and easy file transfer without the app. It will suit my needs. Still pissed that they released a product that just plain doesn't work as advertised. There is no way they were unaware of the issues.

Yeah, I've had the Wiretap for a couple of years now, those problems were there since day 1. I guess it didn't sell well enough that TC bothered releasing updates to the firmware.
Whether it will sync to my phone is about 50/50, and even then whether it will transfer or crash is another 50/50. I just used it as a USB dongle into my computer.
I'm never in need of a quick recording solution that my phone itself can't handle, and at home I use a dedicated interface and DAW.
