Tech 21 Para Driver DI - any more fans out there?

I too am a Tech 21 player. I have used the RBI and RPM for many years. The RPM, a rack mount Para-Driver I understand is my favourite. I like the sweepable mid control. I use mine as a "boost, enhancer, or ….." to my GK 700 RB II in my rack system.
When I use my SVT I don't use it.
I also used the DI out of the GK, post eq with these pre-amps. But at a flyaway show once, the SVT rig there was sent to FOH thru a Radial JDX - 48 DI. This unit was designed I think at first for guitar to use instead of a mic on the cab. Version 2 I'll call it, has a few features for bass. But yea, like a mic on your cab or "post eq" signal. Every FOH tech has loved it. So….. sorry too many espresso's. Para-driver or RPM, I'm with ya.

Never knew that.Since the drive section of the YYZ and the MP40 is the same of the Para Driver I'm a big fan
I set my BDDI V.2 with zero gain, blend at 9 o'clock, presence at 1:30, level set to unity, a little bump on BMT, and it gives me just a touch of added bite, character, and punch after a long chain of effects. It sounds great! I will bypass when using guitar. Can't wait for band practice! Thanks again, Tech 21!
When I'm playing guitar the paradriver is my go-to rig. It takes drive pedals as well as any tube amp I have, gets along very well with od or fuzz, singles or humbuckers. When I bought it I immediately put it to the Champ sample setting and haven't felt the need to move it much since.
I've only used the Para a handful of times on bass I and the times I had I really liked it. The tone is phenomenal and I thought it especially great for more aggressive or bass forward sounds. For bass I do prefer the BDDI V2 because of how my tone sits in a mix. I'm always heard and I'm not stepping on anything to get that done. That said, if I had bought the Paradriver first instead of the BDDI I'm sure I'd be just as happy.
Over the years I've also owned or used T-21's dUg, Steve, the VTDI, a bass fly rig and the XB Driver. They were all great but the regular ol' Bass Driver really is the beating heart of my signal chain.
Both pedals get ran pretty much the same way: end of the pedalboard running the xlr out to FOH and a dry signal to an amp. I never worry about a broken amp mic, or my amps xlr out being weird, and my sound always sits in the mix the way I want.
