Teisco k3l and a question

I just scored a Teisco guitar from the 60's and I love everything about it... except one. The guitar has a rhythm/solo switch and I like both tones but the there is a significant volume difference between the two. One setting is almost twice as loud as the other. Any ideas/suggestions/thoughts on how to even them out?

The volumes are different due to the solo switch being...well...the solo switch.

I'd take the switch plate off, take a pic of the wiring and post it here '(or the Pickup/Wiring forum) so the wiring gurus can let you know what to do.

Also consider taking it to a guitar tech to have it modified. Save the parts if you want to restore it original.
