tele (Asat) build

So, I am planning to piece build a telecaster bass, inspired by the g&l Asat. I am going to use a Warmoth custom T body and Tele neck. As for the electronics, I would like to use Seymour Duncan smb4a's in both neck and bridge positions. What I'm unsure of is the preamp. The Duncan preamps paired with these pickups are generally 2, 3 and 4 band eq. I wanted to stay somewhat traditional with two volumes and a master tone. I am also considering putting in mini toggles for coil splitting and active/passive selector much like the g&l. Would anyone have any suggestions on any of this or recommendations?
