Telecaster bass?

O back when I was a guitars there was always the two guitars that I wanted to one day play on stage for the sole fact that they looked so rock and roll to me. These were the Gibson les Paul and the fender telecaster.

I've been thinking lately and I know epiphany for sure puts out a les Paul bass as does many other companies, but what about a telecaster shaped bass? Not the " fender tele bass" that looks like a jazz but an actual tele shape like this

But you know, ten inches longer and missing two strings ;)

Im starting my custom build soon. Warmoth makes bodys, but you could always make your own if you wanted!

Ya I've thought about going that route, either a tele shaped bass or a LP with a onboard preamp and an active/passive switch where the pickup selector usually is
