Temporary loss of left hand function?

It may be hydration or technique as many have suggested. But it may be more serious, and getting it checked out by a doctor is a good idea. I had an entrapped ulnar nerve problem (ulnar nerve being pinched in the elbow joint) a couple years ago which resulted in cramping, difficulty coordinating the ring finger and pinky, general loss of strength in the hand, and twitching in the thumb and index finger. After surgery things are much better but will never be totally correct. I should have seen the doc earlier.

One test to do: hold both hands out in front of you and spread (fan out) the fingers on both hands. Have someone push your fingers (index, middle, ring, and pinky) back together on one hand and then the other. If one is significantly easier to push together than the other, you may have a problem in which case you should see a doctor.

Another check: Look at the muscles in your hands between your thumbs and index fingers. If one is significantly smaller than the other, and you have any of the symptoms above, get it checked earlier rather than later.
