On the heels of my bourbon opinion thread comes this, I'd like to hear your opinions. Just getting back into drinking after a 30 yr dry spell. Sticking to straight liquor in a glass over some ice. No mixed drinks. So far I've tried: Patrone Silver, Respado & Cafe, Cabo Wabo Silver & Cafe, Casamigos Silver, Respado & Mezcal, I currently have an unopened bottle of AC/DC's signature Respado wait for trial this weekend. I tend to like the silvers over the darker ones slightly, with the Casamigos stuff being my fave. I'm asking because I'm trying to become an educated drunk. What makes one better than other of the same type etc. With tequila my taste buds can tell instantly between types. Patrone here is low end, compared to the others in my book, smoothness wise. With bourbons, in my other thread, I have a much harder time. Again, straight tequila over ice, no mixing. Annnnnnd Go !
