You won’t remember this, but back in 2007 you told me that to work well as a bassist you need to find something that inspires you about working with that artist, even if it’s just their hair: focus on that as a reason to do your best.

Since then your advice has kept me grounded and helped me find a positive outlook in every situation. There’s always something to admire in another human.

Hey, thanks for this. I appreciate it more than you know. It's one of those small "directives" on a list of things that I've tried to apply through the years and it's certainly helped me through some situations that ranged from slightly challenging to clearly untenable. Like any human, practicing what I preach hasn't always been flawless, but I try. Anyway, I'm very glad to hear that you've found some benefit in it. Really makes my day.
