Thanks for the welcome, Paul.

It happened so fast, I'm not sure how I found the link to TalkBASS, but I signed up and am looking it over. I've already read some interesting opinions and have some thoughts on all that I've seen in just a few minutes. Give me a few more times before I sign up as Supporting Member. I'm thoughtful that way!!

I saw a couple of conversations about Carvin LB's and found that to be very strange because I was just thinking today about seeing if I wanted to sell a Carvin LB70PF that I have had since 2005 and is in mint condition. How did TalkBASS know that??

I still have my first bass (I assume this is safe to talk about) which I bought in 1964: a 1963 brand new Fender P bass, Olympic White, Rosewood fretboard. I still play it, but only out at a gig that I know is safe!! What a sound and feel!!! I didn't get another bass until the early 2K's, and now have to hide my cash and credit card when I start to think about all those fabulous basses out there.

Have you encountered a Stephen Sukop hand-made work of art bass with incredible sounds? What an artist at his craft.

More later,
