Firstly sorry if I have posted this in the wrong forum, but I couldnt decide where it should go.

Like many (probably all of us!) Im am searching for that perfect sound, well, perfect to me, everyone has their own likes and dislikes.

    Anyway... I own a Fender P-Bass and OLP MM2, Hartke HA3500 and 410XL, and will soon be gettin a MXR M80 D.I+.

The sound I am after is something like across btween Duff Mckagan's bass sound on GNR's Appitite For Destruction album, the bass sound on Nirvanas Nevermind, and the gorgeous bass sound of the Radiohead track Bones off of The Bends. Obviously I know these are highly produced albums and is not the same as live bass sound.

...But if anyone has any suggestions on how I might achive this sound or something close (EQ, pedals, compression, technique etc) they would be much appreciated.

    Many thanks!
