That unmistakable Spector tone.

I think it's in the woods that Stuart chooses, and the fact that they are tuned by the folks at Spector to sound that way no matter what.

Example. My NS-5. It's a bolt on. It has a single Bartolini MM pickup at the bridge. It has an Aguilar preamp. It's 35" scale. It's mahogany. NAILS the classic Spector tone way better than some neck through/EMG Spectors I've had.
