Still use my V-4B all the time. My setup now is a '80 G&L L1000 occasionally through a Big Muff into the Ampeg V-4B/Bergantino NV 610. Im happy with it to say the least...

Even though he used a DI, that sound he had was identical to a B-15. I'm sure the 15" monitor bled and got on the tracks, and I'll bet it sounds like a B-15.

I don't think they had those terrible sterile sounding boxes that suck all the life out of your sound, back then, I meant he plugged directly into probably a tube board.

Yup... I run a fuzz pedal into an overdriven V-4B. Its good.
