hello all, my names mike and if you hadnt guessed im British. As far as I can see this is a mainly American forum. I stumbled upon this great site when I was on a authors website, it was under useful links. I thought it may be a great place to learn new skills and talk to people who know their stuff. I've been playin on and off for about 2 years, although commitments with work and college have left me with little or no time to practice. As a result although I have had my Bass (Dusty) for about 2 years my skill does not reflect the time. I want to change that drastically.
I play in two bands one called Dead Loss, whos previous incarnation was called Half Spiked (we were drunk and it sounded good at the time). Dead Loss are a Metal outfit with blistering solos and soothing harmonies...unfortunately our guitarist has left to carry on with his own musical development (I tell you, he doesnt need anytime to get better hes the best guitarist I know)
I play in a second band with my best friend Bernie Black, The Brothers Grim is a symbol of our long last friendship. We are an Acoustic Duo hoping to be the next Rodrigo y Gabrielle (I won't be the girl)
I hope for my birthday I'll have enough money to purchase things on my wish list. I do plan to try before I buy, but my heart is set on an AGB140 Ibanez Electro/Acoustic Guitar. Both for Dead Loss and The Brothers Grim.
I think I've rambled on too long now, but now you know a bit about me please feel free to chat. Just don't ask about the weather because I can tell you it will be raining...ALL THE TIME!
