The whole family is cracking up with this photo. I swear the cat is *always* appearing right where I don't want him, usually on fresh laundry, the chair I'm about to sit on, the box I'm about to break down, the new mixer I just purchased and spent 2 hours setting up which he now moved all the faders and various buttons - always right where I'm about to go do something.

I just received the cab and it has a slight buzzing noise coming from the top driver. Yesterday I already removed the screws for the rear jack plate when looking inside the cab to troubleshoot the buzzing. Tonight I found the stoopid cat when I pulled the plate to continue my troubleshooting. Too funny! He was only in there for 30 minutes at most as he was seen around the house just prior.

Conclusion:

* Cat exited via the reflex ports, same way he got in. I just had to call him out.
* Buzzing was due to the speaker leads ever so slightly touching the driver somewhere. Pulled up a little slack through the zip tie bundle which you can see in the cat picture and it seems to have corrected the issue.

Good times all around!

And I used to catch s**t from the fEARful crowd when I said I instructed Don @ LDS to build my nEARful cabs with ports covered to "keep the critters out." (There are occasional mice and snakes out here in the country where I live.)

And now I'm in the FEARLESS crowd. My ports are too small for the cats to crawl in. But I'm still keeping my eyes out for snakes and mice.

I hear ya. My dog lies on the floor and sleeps while I practice, but the cats jump on my knee and often try to bite the strings:p

I had a drum set years ago. It had a 4" port on the front bass drum head. My cat loved to crawl in through the port and nap on the pillow that I had laying in the drum. It didn't bother me until the cat hair started collecting all over the inside of the drum; hair would shoot out of the port every time I hit the kick pedal. So....guess how I trained my cat not to go into the bass drum any more....:)
