That's funny that's exactly what I'm in the process of building now. I'm a fan of the blocks as well however I'm using my neck from my 72 p bass which has dots). But I like torte on black. Classy and cool imo

That's my Devlin Custom Telecision.
Started life as a plain jane 2006 Fender DeLuxe Big Block Precision bass. Disappointed with my Yamaha Attitude Billy bass, I was inspired to add a genuine '72 Tele bass pickup and guard with a seperate volume and output making it a true stereo beast....been in love ever since. I made a second, identical with blue abalone guard which is getting good use from my pal James Jones in SLC, Utah! Enjoy, folks!

I guess that my dream P-bass is rather simple, although it is somewhat of a period/style-blender, a la the Mike Dirnt signature model. The neck would have to be J-width.

Played a 1980s G&L (the single pickup model... I think an L1000?) in a store yesterday. In great condition except for some playing wear (a bit on the back of the neck and a bit where the previous owner put their thumb when playing). So yeah, that's my dream P-bass now.

I have a modified G&L American L-1500 with an additional SB-2 style split MFD-P pickup, and a Bartolini active/passive preamp.

I don't have much lust for more basses.

Just my G&L and my upright.

I see a lot of P/MM pickup config. Mine would have to have a switch to toggle between pup config. I want his bass so bad now.

In order to really have my custom P-Bass I need a red pick guard, reversed pickups, and a stacked knob. So close but no cigar haha
