The EHX Superego is an awesome synthy space destroyer.

So I snagged an EHX Superego for a decent price of Reverb- Damn, this thing is useful! I'm really liking putting heavy reverb/delay/modulation in it, leaving my core distorted bass tone clearer, with a cloud of synthy washes underneath it.

I could really spend forever sticking different things into the effects loop and getting different sounds- Currently I'm liking the Pitch Bay (it really needs an octaver in the loop so it isn't competing with the dry signal, in my opinion), TC Vortex Flanger and EQD Afterneath at the moment. Might try putting the whammy in it later (hell, I might try putting everything I have in it).

Anyone else using one? How, and what's in the loop?

I don't have one but I'm currently saving up for the Superego Deluxe. I'll prob get the Avalanche Run after that. I'm digging your setup. I use that digitech bass chorus too.

I was thinking of putting the EHX random noise generator into the superego loop, amongst other goodies.

Constant experimentation, but often I stick my M5 in the SuperEgo's loop.

I only really got this because I saw one for a pretty low price- If I was a bit more patient (and didn't have a ton of other gear I'm planning on buying) I might have saved for the +. Using mine, the more I feel I'd like to be able to change modes with a footswitch, especially if I were on stage.

Yeah, I've had that Digitech chorus for years. It sounds good enough for me and it's stereo, so why fix what isn't broken?

It's been my ambient go too for a couple years or so, and I put a spectra comp, a Mel9 and a Rainbow Machine in the loop. I was going to have to sell the Rainbow Machine because it is so weird, but putting it in the SuperEgo loop is Amazing. The spectra comp helps sustain and volume and the Mel9 is a good bunch of voices, clarinet makes a bassoon sound. At one point I had a ring modulator in there, the way huge one, and it made for massive metallic sounds, but I pared down and it got bumped. It works though.
