Okay. You can play any notes are easy for you to play.I'm still gonna play the open A because it's easy.

The transcription is WRONG. The fourth note is NOT A!
Here is the correct one (at least the first four notes.)

I try to ignore the existing tabs when someone asks for a specific note A great example of why is the hard to handle thread.I'll tell you what I DON'T hear:
I don't hear the bassist sliding down from the 11th fret G# to the 5th fret D. So even if the notes are right on that transcription, the fingerings can't be.
I was in the "A" camp. Now I'm with you. G# for sure. Just a box pattern 9-11-9-on D STRING to 11th/G# on the A string gliiss to D still on A string. If we're going with "easy to play", this is pretty easy and sounds better than open A to me. Change my vote from A to G#Okay. You can play any notes are easy for you to play.
Here is just that bass "run," just very very slow and EQ-ed for the better note identification.

Would you agree that the Guitar is playing an "A" @3:48 in the YT below?
Let's still be Friends, OK?

Here's what that would look like in standard notation:For me notating slides on the electric bass in standard notation can be difficult. When transcribing I don't find that standard notation lends it self to capturing some of the nuisances of playing electric bass (especially in cases like this)
