Looks great, this is good inspiration for me as well. I bought a somewhat beat up 74' 4001 in 1990 for 300 dollars. It's been my main bass ever since. One day in like 96 or so I got bored and decided to strip the paint off and dye it green. However, I didn't know what I was doing back then and it looked 'ok' but not great. It's sat in its case for a while cause I just haven't been playing that much anymore. Now that I've learned a lot about dying wood and such through making a few maple arcade joysticks I'm gonna try it again, in the pic you can see remnants of the old fireglo and the old green dye around the bridge. The next pic is the side of a curly maple joystick dyed blue. I was thinking of dying it blue this time, but then I found out Rickenbacker just released a bunch of transparent blue 4003's. I like the unique factor of the green.
