The Kramer Club

I see you took the bass back. Any problems with the neck?

Yeah, the neck had been mended in the past and it warped over time because who ever did the mods was a amateur, had it looked at by a well trusted bass tech and he told me there a slim chance of the neck accepting another treatment, and it wouldnt be cheap to attempt something that isn't 100% going to work. Instead I took it back for a Thunderbird for the time being, some day I'll have Kramer though, I love those damn necks!:banghead:

I have a 650b also and will try to get some pictures soon but have a question. I know that the necks can warp and require a press to straighten. Mine is in good shape but is more a collectible then player. While storing it should I detune it to keep the tension off the neck? I don't see how there would be any concerns about it bowing backwards, as there is no truss rod. If its straight now wouldn't taking the string tension off insure it would stay straight?

I got a Kramer Focus 420s on coming to me, anybody know if a "normal" fender pickguard fits?

it arrived while i was at work, what nice bass for about 75$ used! gotta attach a new nut and repaint it chocolate brown and it's gonna work for me! bought as a second I think it will send my squier J home for good...

can I get a number please?

Plans: re-do the electronics (vol only, Fender MIA Split Coil), re-do the hardware (hi mass bridge chrome, cluson tuners chrome, string tree over all 4 strings to fix the horrible string buzz on the a string), re-do the paint job (chocolate brown)

Edit: Just ordered original warwick tuners and a "floyd rose style" schaller stringtree. My wiring it wrong, got feedback galore and if I turn down the vol pot I have nearly no difference in volume... gotta check that later today
