Interesting that Jackson says he remembers JJ plucking with 2 fingers when he tried out AJ's bass, for 2 reasons: I didn't know they ever met each other, and because all the footage and discussion of Jamerson says he only used 1 finger. I still think he only used 1 finger, it's clear from the close up footage of his plucking hand (what little there is of it), plus I think it contributed a lot to his sound.
