The longest wait.....

OK, so my wife calls and tells me that my package has arrived. It's a Fender Am P Deluxe, that's great right? Well I'm stuck here at work for 2 more hours. So what could be worse....

Ok so if my wife said my new bass was there and she and 3 of her horny girlfriends were all worked up, playing strip poker after a few glasses of wine, and they all had to leave to go home in 1.5 hours..... that would be more agonizing.

Anyone else love/hate that wait to get home?

BTW I bought the bass from a fellow TB'er

I once waited 9 months for a Music Man that never materialised at the store. It finally arrived a month after I switched my deposit and went home with my Godin A5.

That kinda sucked. Turned out to be a better bass for me than the Music Man, but the wait was awful...

when i ordered my warwick i had no idea how long it'd take, a month later i came home (as i was on my way to the studio as well!!) and there was my big purple beast.
ahhhh memories.

you'll all be glad to know that after nearly six years the spark is still there.

I can't top that, but I am on month 10 waiting for my Ric 4004Cii. Agonizing. Nice happy ending, though even if it was almost 40 years. I'm sure you'd given up on it long ago.

I never thought that I would see the bass again. But I remembered the serial # and here is another tip for everyone out there. Those little address labels that come in the mail-trim one down and stick it to the underside on the truss rod cover or under the control plate. I have them under the pickguards of the Fender basses. The one on the violin bass was the type that had to be licked. It was still there when the dealer looked for it. Can't beat those odds.
