The NFL pays no taxes

I'm sure a corporation as popular as that generates quite a bit of revenue.

Generating revenue and redistributing revenue to owners and shareholders in the form of profits are two different things. Every private corporation, whether for-profit or non-profit needs to generate revenue to survive.

If there's money remaining, that's profit.

No, it's not. For a non-profit, surplus money cannot be redistributed to private shareholders. It has to remain with the organization. And ask any non-profit executive director or grant writer: You want a surplus at the end of the year.

I don't believe they should be deserving of non-profit status, though. As I said, they are entertainment, not a religious organization, charity or public service. Even though in the case of their customers the line does seem to be quite blurred, lol.

Look I hate the nfl just as much as you: but if they aren't making a profit. (That is the NFL) the LEAGUE,) as in groups joining together.. They aren't making a group profit and therefore are

Non profit

They don't generate profits. Unlike a church that does.

The NFL isn't in possession of billions of dollars of art work.

Welll here is another cool tidbit of info about the NFL.
The WWE is registered as entertainment, not sports.
You know the only other major "sport" registered as entertainment?
The NFL.
Technically not sports but entertainment.
Look it up!

All NFL games are rigged.
Believe it.

Not exactly. Taxes are being paid on all the money the NFL makes, just by the employees (including players) and the owners and not the league as an entity since NFL as an entity doesn't keep any year end profits.

I don't know much about the NFL, but I smell a rat. If a corporate business venture of that magnitude is operating as a non-profit, I'm sure there are a group of people at the top of that organization who are laundering those "non-profits" all the way to the bank.

The director of this "non-profit" made close to 30 million dollars last year. I wonder how much the ticket vendors at the Stadium box office made?:rollno:

Careful, you're sounding like you don't appreciate the current disparity in wealth which has obviously done so much for us. Sounds like Red talk to me. We all know that's what these "wealth distributor" types are getting at. ;):p
