Man... I have never been a Gibson fan (as for basses, I definitely dig their guitars) but this Victory is a beauty. Great find!

If anyone knows the origin of this bass please let me know.

I love the way it plays it checked out strong the guy just bought it without knowing the history.

It is fret-less and has a Piazo Bridge and Barolini Pick ups

Three piece solid body
made of Zebra Wood, Mahogany and Maple,

Five piece neck with Ebony Fingerboard inlayed with Zebra and Mahogany

If Gibson reissued that for under $1k (street), made it out of a wood that isn't mahogany, and steps their QC game up to MIJ Fender level, I think it could spell the beginning of the end for Gibson bashing here.

MTD Kingston, Peavey Foundation 5. Not pictured...Ibanez EXB445 (recently reacquainted high school/early 20s love), shiny red Fender P Bass (come get it goat!!! Still got it...) Fernandes 4-string p/j, Ibanez Ergodyne with lower horn sawed off (baaaaaad idea...pretty cool-looking though) ... and on and on...

Just wanted to share the updated version of my Precision. I just snagged this Allparts 21-fret maple neck. It was priced as a project and I got a great deal on it - just needed to fill a couple holes and it's playing beautifully. I cleaned it up, finished it with Tru-Oil, and added the '70s logo. What an amazing feeling neck; I'm incredibly happy with it.
