You should know better... Rarely is there anything of value on prime-time tv - Especially those shows...... What did you expect? They are just looking for the next, *choke* Kelly Clarkson or *double choke* Clay Aiken... only in 'rock n roll' form... So that means they have more tats and look like they might kick your butt or something... More half-baked, industry manufactured, more-shiney-then-valuable BS... Pablum...

I know. I wanted to bail after 10 minutes but my wife said it was too laughable to turn off.

You will never catch me defending american idol shIIte, but at least young Kelly can sing a bit, and has written/co-written multiple hit songs since idol. No one else in the cannon fodder crap that the idiot lemmings of america voted for has otherwise even produced an actual musician, let alone another one with any actual talent.

The process itself sucks so bad, and is so wrong about about what music is about, it pretty much just makes me ill thinking about the gazillion unmitigated MORONS who actually follow it.:rollno:

On the "strength" of this thread I watched at least a little of each performer during the rain delay of the Mets game.

Not one of them can sing worth a crap, not even a little. And MARK HUDSON is a "judge"?!?!?!?!

MARK HUDSON!?!?!?!?

King of the nose-honk comedy with his brothers Mark Hudson?

I'm incredulous he even still had an agent to book him for the gig.

The ONE is easily the single worst display of "talent" I've ever seen on television. The sanppy-finger guy on the regis talent show blows the contestants on The ONE out of the water and has a far greater chance of becoming a rock star.

Just for the record, as I surfed around during the game break, there were no less than FIVE reality-style talent shows on the networks at once.


Thats enough non-sports/daily show TV for me for the next 2 years. I don't think I will EVER feel completely clean again. No wonder the rest of the world hates us.:rollno:

I take at least two showers a day. Can't seem to get rid of the slime.
