The perfect bass line?

I absolutely love "The World Is A Ghetto" and "Cisco Kid"

...but I don't think my fondness for those tunes has very much to do with the bass part.
It's about the whole package.

I personally think the bass line (Gary Taylor) in "Right Down the Line" By Gerry Rafferty has to be considered in any list!

BIG fan of Mr. McVie here. His lines seem quite simple, but they bounce around just enough to be fun.

Sadly, you can correctly argue that B > A, C > B, D > C, E > D, and then someone shows up and proves A > E, and the whole thing goes around again, with no stopping. I think a better choice is to stop comparing, and just list great lines.

I mostly agree, but my opinion is not to list great bass lines. Just list-en to them. That's what they are for.
