The TB Trivial Pursuit Thread

"hirple" is a verb defined as "moving with a gait between walking and crawling", or limping.

"curple" is an old noun referring to (the saddle thong across) a horse's posteriors. Also a verb.

"turple", said of animals, means to "fall down and die". A variant of "topple".

"besperple" used to mean "to spatter with", e.g. blood.

Admittedly, none of these are exactly current.


EDIT: For "orange", Leonard Cohen famously came up with "door hinge". There's also the botanical term "sporange". "Oranger" still stands, however, unless you want to stretch it and propose "door hinger".

And let's not forget the dreaded "purple nurple" :D
