It's a little bit heavy (although it would be a heck of a lot heavier if it weren't for the aluminium) but hopefully it should be enough for playing those really, really loud gigs. And yes it should just handle that low B string.

Yeah I'm thinking 2600 watts might be just enough to handle that country club gig I've got coming up, but only if I use an extension speaker.

Yes, there are people laying out the long green for anything Krell. This is a sub for a small but very rich hi-fi crowd going multi-channel/home theater. The smallest Servo-Drive subwoofer dwarfs the Krell in preformance at a quarter of the price. Krell does offer nice eye candy casework though.
