That photo illustrates one of the things that makes Paris unique...an almost complete lack of skyscrapers, except for the Tour Maine-Montparnasse (the Montparnasse Tower), which is universally despised by Parisians. There are a few high rise buildings in that area, but that's it. Look at how out-of-place it is.
