I moved on saturday, to a place around 3 times the size of where I previously lived. My girl and I got a place together. Both of us spent the past 3 days working at our day jobs, and in the few hours we had to get this place organized, got a good deal of the furniture in it's proper place. We still have about 100 BIG a boxes of stuff that are still unopened, piled UP all over the place. Last night when I got home I parked the car about a block away. It's 6:29AM. I have to be out of here by 7:45 (typing this as I eat). It's pouring buckets, I mean BUCKETS outside. I didn't mark the box that I put the umbrella in.
I always have at least one umbrella in my car. (sometimes 2) It's a habit ever since I got my 1st car. Well, I guess an umbrella in your car won't do you any good right now.
Why do we worry about get wet so much? It's only water (Now don't come after me all the 'health hazards' of getting soaked in rain: my comment is in jest)
Well, it seems like you have some time. I'd recomment rooting through all the boxes. That should increase the confusion when unpacking later. Plus, you might find other cool stuff.
The last time I moved, I spent two hours looking through the boxes for a pair of scissors. It was in a wok with the cutlery.
Joe , ... congrat's on the new digs !! and as my dear old Dad used to say , "it's just a little rain son , you won't melt ..."
Am I the only one that finds umbrellas a little, uh, feminine? I would rather just get wet, or wear a raincoat.
Lol, Rain. I live in Florida. You get used to the rain. One time I was walking out of a Target, Sun shining, and a Sun Shower kicks up. Now for those of you who don't know what that is, it's when the sun is shining, and it starts to rain, in some cases, pour, like this one. It lasted for about 15-20 seconds, just long enough to get me pretty damp, and to get to my car.
Hell there might even be a message board for umbrella fans, with pictures of custom made, gold lined umbrella's and GTG Umbrella walk threads.
A former co-worker used to reply to that with "you put enough water on chicken s**t and it'll melt away"
i've never had an umbrella, but work requires full on rain suit, and having the jacket/hood hanging by the door is good
