I bought several down through the years from School kids and fundraisers. Probably hardly used! Oh well it was “for the kids”!The Entertainment coupon book.
I had a Turquoise Green one as a teenager and proceeded to tear it up! It was just a car back then. If you had a nice one today…$$$!
While I don't see them often, some do survive. A couple of years ago, I was drawn to the window by a very distinctive engine sound. I looked outside, and sure enough, there was one rolling down the road past my house.
From what I could see, it did not appear to be full of garbage, nor shovels, rakes, or implements of destruction.
Great idea, only problem was the VW bus was rather underpowered.

I've been watching some of the older musicals on Disney channel. Many have the politically correct "information" at the start because of type casting etc, but, they also have a break in the middle labelled "Intermission".

I scared a few people in mine when pulling into a parking space next a wall. I got good at stopping right before hitting it making my passenger reach for a brake pedal on their side of the floor.
I think that I see Walter Matthau in there somewhere. or is it Elton John?
