Thinking about trading in...

I'm thinking about trading in my Traben for a 5 string.

I've narrowed it down to 2 choices.

Peavey Millennium BXP

or

ESP LTD B 55-5

both run about 270 and I'm hoping to get around 250 for my Traben since it's still in warranty (payed 280 for it).

Anyway I've got to fiddle with the Millennium a little bit (very little) and I'm not to thrilled with the weight, but I haven't had a chance to test out the ESP, but I've heard good things.

Any suggestions between the 2?

To me the esp ltds have better fretwork on average. However, Id also suggest checking out the traben fivers. I think you might rather like them, if you like your current one which I'm geaussing is the lowest priced array. I'd also suggest that though the B55-5 is a very nice low budget bass, either adding onboard 3 band active eq, or saving up for the B105 or B155 would be well worth the little bit extra wait to save up for. Your going to get nicer playing bass with better out of the box sound with nice 3band active allready onboard, and better hardware stock. The F155DX would give you even better sound from its longer scale for a fiver. But maybe a little too out of your buildable budget.

Check the used sections of your areas music stores too. Might find one of the mentioned, or other very suitable nice used fiver there for great price.
