I have the Multi-Comp and the BassIQ pedals. I love them both. I'm still in the market for a chorus & octave pedal. Any reason I shouldn't just line up with EBS? Everything I've tried of theirs I love so far.

They're good pedals, and they'll look cool all lined up next to each other. You can even use the EBS pedal connectors!

You may end up slightly compromising though by sticking to one brand. For instance you may find you prefer the sound of a Boss OC-2 or MicroPOG to the EBS octaver, same goes for the other effects.
But the most important thing is... EBS don't make a fuzz - where will you get your fuzz?!

Nuthin wrong with all-EBS, they're great pedals. I've owned the Octabass (grey + black), Multicomp, Unichorus (grey + black), BassIQ, and Multidrive at various times.
I still have the Octabass on my board and swapped out the others for a variety of pedals that were more to my liking:
* Akai AF9 (?) in place of the BassIQ... funkier, less mild
* Fulltone instead of Unichorus... I forget how to describe it, but I pref'd the Fulltone (also the Analogman) to the Unichorus
* Not realy using overdrive much these days
* Analogman BiComp instead of Multicomp
BUT... heck, I'd be pretty happy with all-EBS, some of the pedals above are probably overkill and arguably sound just as good
And the EBS pedal connectors are great, regardless of the pedals you opt for

Thanks for the advice. Yeah from what I can see/tell the only downside is price. They are all more expensive than average and the Unichorus is particularly so. But they really sound great. thanks all. Ordered the Octabass today. Have to wait on the chorus though. The downside of going EBS is that they price means I have to pace out my purchases.
Interesting you take the Analogman BiComp over the Multicomp. I had the analogman and the Multicomp and the analogman didn't do it for me. But the Demeter pedal did as did the multicomp. But I favor the Demeter.
Pringlw I have alot of EBS and the Chorus although its not bad, its my least favorite. Love the octabass as it has a real good analog sound and tracks pretty good. I still like the TC electronics for chorus but the downside is you lose a little low end. But it has a great lush chorus to it.
I can't see you at a loss with any of the EBS pedals. But if you do get the chorus the reverb pedal adds some nice sounds to it.
They last and built well. A bit pricey but all pedals are these days. Pringlw I would get the octabass next as it works really well with the IQ. Both as a stand alone and also getting some nice synth bass sounds when playing together.

The tremolo is worth the price. It's awesome and I'm surprised it doesn't get more love around here.
To the OP: The EBS chorus and octave pedals are great, and the EBS compact format is convenient. You could do a lot worse than a "matched set" of EBS pedals.
I've just listened to tremolo samples on EBS website and I admitt they are awsome, especially stereo ones. They show that you can really play bass with tremolo and it indeed has sense Plus, EBS is cheaper than Empress or Catalinbread (at least in EU). Anybody know where are EBS pedals being mede?

Funnily enough... I also had the Demeter and that just didn't do it for me either!
Just looking a more effected, squashier-sound I guess, at least that's where I hear from the BiComp.I've added a Maxon CP9+ (I think that's the one) to the board and have been pretty happy with that, as well... I tend have one or the other on the board at any one time and am happy with either.

The stero is great, it's true. and to my knowledge (correct me if I am wrong) it is the ONLY tremolo with a lowpass filter mode, which is HUGELY useful on bass.
It costs more than a Boss or ehx tremolo but trust me, for most bass players it is SEVERAL TIMES more useful then either of those.
Do you have one? If so, when are you going to sell it?
i have one, and i do not intend to sell it. it is too perfect in too many ways.
i like to try it in combination with various distortions. i'd like to use it with, say, a silicon fuzz face clone or maybe some kind of germanium boost...
I have owned all the EBS small pedals except the Tremolo. I got rid of all of them for different reasons. The Unichorus is nice but it will clip badly (distort).. if you are driving an overdrive etc into it. The flanger effect is weak. The Octabass is ok but I think the new MXR bass octave deluxe is going to be the new standard in analog octave pedals. I had to replace circuit boards in a couple of the older EBS pedals...the new series is suppose to be improved.
i'm pretty sure the later unichoruses have more headroom - and i don't mean only the new TBP ones
Let me borrow it and I'll let you know how that would sound.
we're overdue for some kind of get-together so i'll be sure not to forget it.
if it had tap tempo, it would be the hands-down favorite around here. The Empress looks sweet, but while this may be less tweakable, it is VERY practical. The idea of a "bass trem" USED to sound silly to me - not anymore!
