This cheap '99 SoundGear is... Incredible?

The ergonomics on all their basses (except maybe the Talman, whih is a bit of a mess IMO) are excellent, love the balance and those fast, skinny necks.

The necks are stationary, & the BTB necks are noticably thicker.

I'm curious about the strong spacing.

String spacing on 4 string SRs is usually 19mm, like most other 4 strings. It's only 5 strings and up that have narrower spacing, and in recent years there have been exceptions to that.

Yooo, MIJ SR for cheap? Well done!! I absolutely adore my MIJ SR886. Plays so so well.

My dad has old SR400 Japan made, it's still sounding incredible and made some sound engineers amazed with how good it was for "silly looking" and skinny passive bass. Only the pots are degraded by aging, other than that still wonderful.

Btw, in your picture, the neck and body build style is so similar to SR1200VNF (premium line with Nords pups)
