They darn well better be hand-carrying it in it's HARD SHELL CASE directly to my front door at that price!:rollno:

Nope. It's 32 days for them to get a hold of Esteban, and have one shipped to you.

BTW...howdy. I'll be in Woodinville on Tuesday of next week to do some phone system upgrades at Chateau Ste. Michelle. Did you know a big tobacco company owns the winery? I didn't until today.

I can't believe MF has sold 76 of those things, and all the buyers wrote reviews. I'd be curious what the reviews say, but I can't figure out how to view them.

I think companies like Martin make things like that to raise their profile more than anything. Looks like it is working. Doesn't have much to do with music, though. Rich people have money to burn, and they don't want to play with the same toys I do. No problem.

I still want to read the reviews. They can't all be buyers/owners. How do you access the reviews themselves?

I heard that it's made from some very rare type of wood that actually grows above the tree limit somewhere in the Himalayas. The wood is carefully shipped on the back of a virgin donkey to the Bering Strait. From there it goes with a canoo over to Alaska, before it's shipped down to the Martin factory in USA for the actual building.

I think the pattern is tacky and boring. If you're going to go all out with inlays, and least have a cool design.

Yeah...as if some mediocre Baroque composer hired oysters to throw up on it.

I can think of *many* better things to do with $80 grand. Like...buy a killer vintage Fender or Gibson, the best possible Ampeg rig, recording gear...and a boob job.

Hey, that guitar is frivolous! If I'm gonna be frivolous, I'm gonna look good while I'm at it! ;-)

Leave it to Cherie to come up with an $80K boob job! LOL! For $80K, you too could look like Pamela Anderson...:D...but with talent! :D
