Hello!

Today I'm happy to announce the release of "This is Punkadelic!", the second album from Gooks, one of my bands.

I'm the bass player, vocalist (in a few songs) and lyricist. I recorded this album with Misterioso, my cheap no-name jb.

BTW, "Punkadelic" is a term coined by Joab Dantas da Silva (1969 - 2011) to describe the sound of Gooks. He was our vocalist and lyricist. We lost our voice but we carried on.

I realize these things get lost in translation, and in the differences in cultures, but please be advised that the word 'gooks'(or 'gook')in the US is a racial slur against Asians that was especially prevalent during the Vietnam war, and still lingers today. Just sayin'.

Good of you to point that out...I was thinking the same thing.

Not accusing anyone of anything, but that word does have a history in the USA that I think was worth noting. Take it as you will.
