I actually have a counterfeit Warwick I purchased in Korea. It has the "W" the right way. I don't know about Taiwan, but you can find all kinds of counterfeits in Korea. Some very good instruments, like mine, and some laughable, like the Fender "Jass" basses I saw there.
I bought it nearly 10 years ago and didn't know that it was counterfeit. I sent a picture to Dana B. Goods, the US distributor of Warwick and told them where I bought it when I found out. I don't usually buy counterfeits, and I did not try to hide the fact that this one is. It is actually a very nice playing and sounding bass. I won't be selling it because I wouldn't sell a fake.
