I'm new to the bass underculture and am going to ask an obscene amount of questions so that I can join in on the convos that include alot of bass jargon

Question #1: What in the heck does 'MM' mean in reference to pickups?

Search indeed, but you can't search on "MM."

P/J = Precision/Jazz

"Hammon" is the brand name. "Darkstar" is the type of pickup.

I am awaiting a MTD Kingston series Heir 5er. Should be here any day. I was trying to research the pickups that are coming in it and the only descrip they give on the MTD site is one 'J' style and one 'MM' style. Hence all the questioning. My other basses have readily identifieable pups so I was trying to get to the bottom of all the cryptic talk to know what I'm getting.
